One of our pediatricians is always "on call." If your need is urgent, please call our office number, the "auto attendant" will answer and listen carefully to the message and follow the instructions. Please speak clearly and slowly, leaving you name and phone number where you may be reached. The doctor on call will return your call within one hour. Please have your child's temperature, weight, any allergies, chronic conditions your child may have, and your pharmacy's name and phone number and a paper and pen to write down any instruction. If you have not been contacted by the pediatrician on call within one hour please call back as mix ups occasionally occur. Prescriptions are refilled ONLY during regular office hours. After hour phone calls are reserved for emergences or urgent needs.
Emergencies arise at all times of the day. We will do our best to respond to your needs promptly, whether it is during the day, after hours or weekends. It is preferable that you call the doctor before taking you child to the emergency room as we are often able to provide you with first aid instructions by phone. If you are dealing with a life threatening situation call 911 or go directly to the emergency room.
